Kathy Flores is coordinating an effort to have families bring holiday desserts to the Grizzly Awards Banquet for a fund-raising auction. The idea is for each family to bring a dessert and they will be put up for bid in a silent auction. Proceeds will go to support Grizzly Aquatics.

The bus will leave West Campus at 2:00 p.m. and East at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Remember, if parents wish to give you permission to ride home with anyone other than themselves, they must contact Mr. Wimp, CHSE Athletic Director and have that arrangement approved. If parents want to transport their own children home, they can sign them out after their game.

Scores are Current; Stats Are Coming

I have updated the results pages for both girls and boys. Stats will come a little later. Speaking of stats...

There is one statistic that supersedes all others each season, and it isn't found on the stats page, it is found on the results page, designated by a W or an L. Personal player stats are interesting to look at, but they often do not reflect how much your team played as a team. We would need 10 more categories to really judge our team performance. Read the stats and go for it when it is your turn, but always work to enhance the performance of your team, not build your personal stats.

Tentative Game vs Sanger on September 8, 2009 Cancelled

The Grizzly water polo schedule for 2009 has been updated as of August 21, 2009. The game that was tentatively scheduled vs Sanger on September 8, 2009 is not going to happen. Please make sure you remove it from your calendar.

Paperwork Must Be Turned In Before You Can Practice or Compete

Each water polo student-athlete must fill out an eligibility packet and have a current physical exam on record with the Athletic Department. When Mr. Jeff Wimp, Central East AD, or his administrative assistant, Ms. Vellutini have received those documents and have cleared you for academic eligibility, they will issue you an orange slip to bring to Coach Rossi or Coach Klatt. You must also return the letter your parents are to sign outlining our team policies and the yellow emergency card that was attached to it.

Please click here if you need another copy of the letter.

Please click here if you need a flyer regarding physicals at El Capitan on August 20, 2009.
